If you are in the market for a new hot tub, there are several things to consider when placing your hot tub outdoors, including distance to the home, privacy, orientation, wind conditions, and hardcover removal, to name a few. Hot tub owners that install their hot tub correctly tend to enjoy their hot tub much more. One of the most important considerations is positioning it as close to the home as possible to ensure that it is as easy as possible to access.

If you have a spot in mind where space is not a concern, then anything goes. If you have restrictions, you may need to consider the hot tub's size that you select. A 4 person hot tub is the best selling size because the physical dimensions are about 6 1/2 feet by 6 1/2 feet, making it a medium-sized hot tub. Many people believe that the size of a hot tub has a significant impact on the price, but this is not necessarily the case. A 4 person hot tub price is not much more than a 6 or 8 person hot tub because it is the electronics, pumps, jets, plumbing, and other gear that determines the price more than size.

A 4 person hot tub in our Northern product line-up is meant to be comfortable for four, with primary use being one or two people. If you want to invite another couple or enjoy hot water with your family, there is ample room, and you shouldn't feel as if you are sitting too close or on top of each other. It is very common for our 4 person hot tubs to have 6 seats. Yes, you can fit 6 people in the hot tub, but it's not overly comfortable, and you will not want to do it often or for long periods of time. Think of an SUV with three rows of seating, and you will know what we mean. You can seat 8 people in the vehicle, but you certainly would not want to drive a long time with more than 4 people.

Our 4 person hot tubs include a rating for comfortable seating and maximum seating. This way, you will know exactly what to expect when you position your new hot tub in your backyard, and you are not disappointed when you invite your guests for a soak in your new 4 person hot tub. If you anticipate 4 or more people using the hot tub regularly, we recommend that you consider a 6 or even 8 person hot tub because sitting comfortably in your hot tub is one of the most important considerations when selecting the right Northern Hot Tub model for you.
